Many people operate under the illusion that if they ask someone once not to do something, they will stop doing it. Nothing could be further from the truth. Yet another secret is that most people don’t want to change behavior that others find difficult because it works in some way to put other people off balance. If you choose to bring an issue to your boss’s attention, bear in mind that you may have to bring the same issue to his/her attention a number of times before it actually registers.
